Hi! I'm Selena and the face behind Petal + Grace!

I am originally from the West Coast but was raised in the Kansas City area. I am a former Spanish teacher of 10 years (sí, hablo español) at a local high school, where I spent a lot of time building relationships and learning modern day slang. It truly was a lot of fun! I am married to my husband, Matt, and we have a one-year-old who we adore so much! Outside of spending time with Matt and our sweet boy, I enjoy traveling (and learning the language of my destination, if international), trying new restaurants, and getting beat on the tennis courts by my younger sister!

I decided I wanted a career change after I became a mom and desired to spend more time with my family that teaching (and most other 9-5s) just doesn't allow. I have always loved all things beautiful and using my hands to create for as long as I can remember! From the time I was little, I was always crafting or making something and DIY-ing anything and everything. Making the transition to creating floral arrangements for weddings seemed like a no-brainer and so much fun! It allows me the flexibility to be a mom, while also exercising my creativity! This is how Petal + Grace was born!

My hope is to provide you with a touch of beauty and grace for your wedding day! It is such a special day for your dearest loved ones to come together and celebrate your marriage.
